Dr. William Hawkins II is a board certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. Dr. Hawkins grew up in southeast Texas and currently resides in California. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Howard University in Washington, DC. Dr. Hawkins then went on to complete a one-year Oral and Maxillofacial surgery internship at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. He completed his training at the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center’s Oral and Maxillofacial surgery residency in Los Angeles County, California. During his time as Chief Resident, Dr. Hawkins was also the featured resident presenter at the 2022 Annual California Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery meeting. At the end of his residency when he served as chief resident, he received the resident of the year award determined by both his colleagues and attending faculty. After residency, Dr. Hawkins completed a fellowship in Facial and Reconstructive cosmetic surgery at the Griffin Center in Columbus, Mississippi.
Dr. Hawkins chose dentistry as a career because he loves to work with his hands and provide much needed healthcare options to patients from all socioeconomic backgrounds. His surgical interests include facial and reconstructive cosmetic surgery, dentoalveolar surgery, bone grafting, dental implants, and facial trauma.
When Dr. Hawkins is not treating his patients, he enjoys time with his wife, children and dogs, and trying out great restaurants. Dr. Hawkins is also an avid sports fan and enjoys watching movies, traveling, and participating in outdoor activities.
Dr. Hawkins holds the true value of patient care as an essential quality that all surgeons should understand and practice. It is his goal to provide caring, comfortable and compassionate surgery to all of his patients.
